COP26, held in November 2021, brought important advances related to goals and an investment system in global decarbonization projects. But that's not enough.

We are still far from the challenge of maintaining the planet's average increase in temperature at 1.5 degrees from pre-industrial levels, and preventing a climate catastrophe for this and future generations.

Commitments by countries and companies to zero carbon emissions by 2050 will be insufficient without short-term goals. Immediate and effective actions are needed.

2050 Now is a Suzano initiative to promote knowledge and encourage practical actions, involving companies, governments and society.
